VOMITAIR INJECTION is used for critical gastric control:

Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea: Prevents vomiting associated with cancer treatments.
Post-Anesthesia Relief: Stops vomiting following surgery and anesthesia.
Severe Gastroenteritis: Used in emergency rooms for patients unable to retain oral fluids.

Radiation Therapy: Manages nausea associated with radiotherapy.

Ondansetron is a highly selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist. It blocks the serotonin receptors that trigger the vomiting reflex in both the brain and the gastrointestinal tract, providing rapid relief from the urge to vomit.

Timing: Usually given 30 minutes before the start of chemotherapy or just before surgery.
Administration: For slow IV or IM injection by a healthcare professional.
