CURIPRIN CR CAP is indicated for the secondary prevention of major atherothrombotic events:
Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS): Prevents recurrent myocardial infarction and unstable angina in post-PCI or stented patients.
Ischemic Stroke Prevention: Reduces the risk of recurrent ischemic cerebrovascular events.
Plaque Stabilization & Lipid Lowering: Rosuvastatin aggressively lowers LDL cholesterol while decreasing vascular inflammation.
Dual Antiplatelet Action: Combines COX inhibition with P2Y12 receptor blockade to prevent arterial clot formation.
Rosuvastatin competitively inhibits HMG-CoA reductase in hepatocytes, upregulating LDL receptors to clear circulating LDL cholesterol and stabilize plaque. Aspirin irreversibly inhibits the cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) enzyme, preventing thromboxane A2 synthesis. Clopidogrel acts as a prodrug whose active metabolite selectively and irreversibly blocks the P2Y12 adenosine diphosphate (ADP) receptor on platelets, preventing glycoprotein IIb/IIIa complex activation and thrombus formation.
Timing: Take once daily at the same time each day, preferably with or immediately after food to minimize gastric irritation.
Administration: Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water; do not open, chew, or crush the capsule.
Consistency: Take consistently as prescribed; do not discontinue abruptly without cardiologist consultation, as premature cessation increases stent thrombosis and re-infarction risk.
Storage: Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep out of reach of children.
