CURIGLIM MET SR 2.5MG is designed for escalated oral hypoglycemic therapy:
The 2 mg Glimepiride component promotes physiological insulin secretion from the pancreas in response to meals. Concurrently, Metformin improves muscle and tissue glucose uptake, suppresses excessive liver sugar output, and prevents sudden glycemic spikes without inducing hyperinsulinemia.
Timing: Administer once daily immediately before or during breakfast or the first substantial meal.
Administration: Swallow whole with water; never crush, break, or chew the tablet to preserve the sustained-release mechanism.
Consistency: Monitor blood glucose levels routinely and continue daily administration as prescribed by your endocrinologist.
Storage: Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place. Keep in the original packaging until use.
Caution: Patients with renal or hepatic impairment require careful monitoring; periodic kidney function tests (eGFR, serum creatinine) are advised.
Allergy Warning: Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to sulfonylureas or biguanides, severe renal failure, or metabolic acidosis.
